Final FIFA World Cup Play-Off and Final at The Loft
It’s been a crazy month of epic wins and beer-nursing losses… The 2014 FIFA World Cup is coming to a close this weekend with matches between the Netherlands and Brazil on Saturday to play off for third place, and the final on Sunday between Germany and Argentina.
As we’ve been doing for all of the World Cup, the Loft will have everything you need to enjoy these last matches…
Even though the matches this weekend don’t start until 1 p.m. and noon on Saturday and Sunday, we’ll still be open at 9 a.m. with a full offering of breakfast. Get a good start to the day with Absolut Bloody Marys for $6 each, or mimosas for only $5 each. At kickoff (or before – who’s judging?), get ready to enjoy these final matches with glasses raised with $12 pitchers of Bud Light or $15 beer buckets of Coors, Miller, or Hales American Pale Ale. We also have $4 red, white and blue shots, even though the U.S. has been eliminated for awhile now (hey, we can still be a little patriotic even as we cheer on other countries’ teams).
Brazil, after the painful 1-7 loss to Germany last week, will be fighting the Netherlands for third place on Saturday, July 12th at 1 p.m. PST. Argentina and Germany are battling to win the World Cup at noon on Sunday, July 13th.
Stick around after the Sunday match to celebrate the World Cup with Sunday happy hour from 4 p.m. until close. Happy Hour at the Loft means $1 off draft beers, $4 well drinks, $5 appetizers, and $5 margaritas, Fireball shots, or El Jimador tequila shots.
